The former manager reflects on how he saved lives by getting Nolan Ryan out of Marion, spills the beans about hungry Willie the Rat at Hungry Mother, and offers a warning about back-pocket hot dogs.
Awesome Story! Great Memories For Me. My dad worked at The Bank of Marion with Bob Garnett - I think he was the president of Marion Baseball (?) and did the announcing at the games. My dad and other co-workers always would sell hot dogs at the concession stand. Good Days - Thanks for Sharing These Stories!! While in high school, I worked for Snooks at the hospital - What a character he was!!

Hi, David. Sounds like you have some great memories. I'd love to hear your memories of the Mets and working with Snooks.
Excellent work, as always. Very interesting interview.
